2. Loading DVD:

Insert DVD disc into the DVD Drive, click on "open DVD"(1st button) or "open IFO File "(2nd button) button to load DVD. It is important to select the IFO file, because the IFO file contains the information about the entire DVD structure and this way you will avoid audio and video de-synch problems when converting.
3. Choosing titles and chapters:

Here you have to select the Title which has the BIGGEST length. In our situation it is Title01. Highlight it and then click select. Don't worry about the other ones, they are just intros, extras or ads of the movie.Choose(check) the video clip or chapters you want to convert, right click your mouse to check for individual video clip/chapter,you can also rip from any positon to any positon of a chapter with using "split" button
4.Set up a proper video output file path.
Click the Browse... button next to Output File Name field and select a location on your HDD for the output video file.

5.Convert your DVD files.
After you have set up all the conversion parameters, hit the start! button to start converting.

6.Burn the converted video file with Nero Burning Rom.
The end! Just click the start button and wait for 4-12 hours depending on the movie's length and your PC's speed. Then you can burn your MPEG files with any buring program that supports VCD/SVCD options such as Nero Buring ROM.
Start up Nero Burning ROM and you should be presented with "New Compilation" dialog box.

From the left hand side, choose the "Super Video CD" compilation option.Press the "New" button to create the compilation.
Locate your MPG file from the File browser on the right hand side, and drag the MPG file to the left hand side into (see picture below).

Nero Burning ROM will scan your MPG file to make sure it is SVCD compliant (see above), and will only let you burn a SVCD if the file is compliant, or you turn off the "Create standard compliant CD" option.
You can drag as many MPG files as you wish (the MPG files must all be the same type/properties), and each MPG file will represent a track on your SVCD (which can be forwarded/rewinded to using the DVD/SVCD player's skip track button). You can right click on the individual track titles and select the properties option - here, you can select how much of a pause you want after each track. Note that there may be a pause anyway going from one track to another even if you select 0 seconds as the pause duration, and this is most likely due to your DVD/SVCD player's track seeking time.
If you haven't done so already, download the scandata.zip file and extract the contents of this ZIP archive (scandata.dat) to any directory. Then in Nero, locate scandata.dat file from the File browser on the right hand side, and drag this file to the EXT directory (see picture below). This file enables you to fast foward and rewind through the SVCD when played back on a standalone DVD/SVCD player.

When you have finished, go to the "File" menu and select the "Write CD" option to burn your SVCD.
