I’m enjoying the sound and everything but I have the feeling that I could get a lot more out of these speakers by powering with a better receiver, and one that doesn’t use spring clips like the Onkyo of course . The Onkyo is also very poor in radio signal reception, it’s basically just distortion.

I’m getting interested in playing . mkv hi def video directly on my dvd converter. So far the easiest route seems to be Western Digital USB Media Player. Anyone using this method can you tell me is it that easy? What restriction afa resolutions etc. can it handle? At this point I haven’t played any HD content directly on the TV other than what comes over the Cable. I have an upconverting DVD player.
