I’m curious to know if I need a cable box with this tv to receive local HD channels over Time Warner Cable (not over the air but via the coaxial cable). There are many combinations of settings for the Phillips 5992 and TV. Does the Epson 8500 look like the right call for a high ambient light room? WAF factor means it’s a white room, white walls, ceiling, 11′ seating position from screen, and behind the sofa 3′ back it’s all white plantation shutters, including sliding glass door with shutters. 6Ghz, it only took about an hour more.
I don’t know what that has to do with burning to disc. For me, if I wanted to try DVD Ripper, Wubi is the way to go. I’m just suggesting another option. Then it goes back to normal and ends. My initial tests on the Vizios show near perfect edges in 16×9 Wide but in 4×3 pillarbox mode vertical is OK but horizontal is cropped over 20 pixels each side. I know you can do it with a Capture Card on the PC, I was wondering if there was an easy software solution on the Mac.
I wanted to do a drop down projector in front of my dvd converter. Otherwise, it will play the VOB files sequentially but there will be a pause between each. I’d like to watch football games on Sunday and mid afternoon movies sometimes, although most movies will be at night.
